Shafira Huang, a prominent art collector and cultural ambassador for London’s esteemed Halcyon Gallery, recently became the victim of a significant burglary at her residence in Camden, North London. The incident, which occurred on December 7, 2024, resulted in the theft of over £10 million worth of luxury items, including high-end jewellery and designer handbags.
Details of the Burglary
The assailant gained entry to the property by climbing through a second-floor window, armed with an unknown weapon. Among the stolen items were:
- A 10.73-carat diamond ring by Graff
- A Niloticus Lumière necklace
- Chopard diamond earrings
- Hermès handbags
Additionally, £150,000 worth of designer handbags and £5,000 in cash were taken. The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties to thirties, of medium build, wearing a dark hoodie, cargo pants, and a grey baseball cap. The burglary occurred between 5:00 and 5:30 PM GMT, a time when the household staff was present but not in the immediate vicinity.
Response and Investigation
In response to the theft, the victims have offered a reward of up to £1.5 million for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief, as well as the recovery of the stolen items.
