Emma Corrin turned heads in a sheer ruffled dress at Cartier’s VIP dinner in
London, joining Gladiator II star Paul Mescal for the high-profile event.
The 29-year-old, known for playing Princess Diana in The Crown, paired the
eye-catching frock with a statement necklace. Mescal, also 29 and rumored to
be in the running for the next James Bond, looked sharp in a black tuxedo.
Other stars at the event included Ellie Bamber, who wore a daring see-through
dress, and Industry actress Marisa Abela.
Corrin, who came out as non-binary in 2021, is reportedly the top choice to
play Elizabeth Bennet in a new Netflix Pride and Prejudice series. The project
is in early development, with Everything I Know About Love writer Dolly
Alderton penning the script.
A source shared that Alderton wants Corrin for the lead and sees casting a
non-binary actor in the iconic role as a progressive step for the classic
story.
