In their Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection, designers Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan of Sea artfully blend nostalgic elements with contemporary aesthetics. A standout ensemble features a puff-sleeved jacket adorned with cord embroidery, paired with a fringed scarf and sleek black flared pants with deep cuffs. This look encapsulates the collection’s themes of romance, bohemian flair, and subtle masculinity.
The collection showcases Sea’s evolution into more sophisticated and sporty designs. Notable pieces include roomy boyfriend jeans styled with a blanket-stitched cardigan featuring lace appliqués, a nylon topper with frog closures and ribbon-tied lace accents, and an unexpected pairing of army green trousers with a black beaded Victorian-style top.
Lace remains a signature element, appearing in “tablecloth” stitched dresses and delicate harem pants. These are innovatively paired with leather or menswear fabrics, creating a juxtaposition of raw and refined textures. Bubble silhouettes emerge in skirt and coat hems, with some shoulders featuring voluminous designs reminiscent of both the 1890s and 1980s. Paolini’s affinity for vintage shopping is evident, particularly in a subsection of the collection she describes as “academia.” This includes khaki pieces, kilts, rugby and marinière tops with special embroidery and patch details, and pea coats with shearling collars.
Overall, Sea’s Fall 2025 collection offers a fresh take on classic pieces, infusing them with personal touches that create a sense of novelty and specialness.
